It's been a year and a half since I was able to take this cute little family's portraits, so I was very excited to work with them again! And talk about extremely photogenic little girls, my goodness! I didn't have to do hardly anything, they were just completely natural in front of the camera, which of course, is a photographer's dream :)
Thank you to the Hemples for a lovely evening, it was great to visit and such a privilege to take your families portraits. Such beautiful memories, and I'm glad I was able to be a part of them!

I had the opportunity to collaborate again with Sydney and Angie Olson and Abi Warner for a fun themed shoot. Unfortunately, because we are hopeful for publication, I can only share one of the sessions we had together :) Please enjoy this collection of portraits, that get a little fun in the spirit of Halloween!
Sometimes you have the opportunity to work with people you've never me but feel as though you have known for years. That is just how I felt taking this lovely family's portraits in beautiful Ledges State Park. They were an absolute pleasure to work with, not afraid to get a little silly and messy and adventurous for their pictures. The oldest daughter asked if we could take a few pictures of them wading in the creek, and of course I was all for it! It was a little cold, but the dad said something I really loved: "Its a few minutes to be uncomfortable but the memories will last forever". It's so true. That is why I am a photographer, because I want to preserve those precious memories for families to cherish for many many years to come. Thank you so much again for the opportunity to capture your memories!
I have always envied the photographers who could create a painted looking image. For the last year, I have been studying and practicing, and finally, a success. Of course, it took much bribing and chasing because the subject was my two and a half year old son, but the end result was well worth it in my mind.
My husband suggested I do a Lost Boy picture, an homage to the old Disney Peter Pan movie, and I finally decided to give it a go with my son Aramis. Here is the final product, and I have to say, I am in love :) It has finally happened......I have been published in a Magazine! Surreal Beauty Magazine has included images from my most recent photoshoot with model Ally Carter and Makeup Artist Abi Warner! It's so amazing, and I'm very excited for all of us for this accomplishment! You can view the magazine here http://www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/984346 but below are the images that were included! This is such an exciting thing for me, and kind of a validating experience as well. I love portraiture!
