I recently found myself published in Emboss Magazine, for a 1920's themed session with model Sydney Olson. Thanks to the wonderful hair and makeup talent of Abi Warner, these images soared to a whole other level of beauty! And to Angie Van Dyke Olson for her many treks to me to make these amazing portraits happen! What an amazing little team we have, and how fun is it to have this much success together! The Flower Girl Long nights she'd spent on this very street walking, swinging, so light on her feet She'd carefully painted the rouge on her lips And pranced with an escort stuck tight to her hips She'd flaunted her wealth, dancing on aires She couldn't have known, but would she have cared? Once she had seen a young girl on the side Holding a flower, stripped of all pride "Please buy a flower, miss?" The little thing spoke her voice was so soft beneath her oversized cloak Why had she not stopped when she had the chance? For she now understood why no one paid her a glance And so she quietly sat with her basket in tow Holding out flowers, ignored and unknown Dear girl, this dark vision burned sound in her mind And taught her the value to forthwith be kind
